Alpari will not go to Malta

Alpari has officially withdrawn its application for a license in Malta. There are several reasons for this, one of which is the company’s focus on the European market, where the field of activity is much wider. Moreover, the company intends to open a branch in Europe, this became especially relevant after the main shareholder of Alpari and the chairman of the board of directors acquired a stake in intellectual property from Alpari UK. Moreover, Alpari has a solid reputation in the markets of Eastern Europe, which is already a good basis for further development.

Licensing is becoming an increasingly laborious process, the norm is becoming tighter, and obtaining a license to operate in Europe is a significant breakthrough in the trading market. That is why Alpari decided to focus on getting a license without much friction. In this regard, the application for a license in Malta was withdrawn. But it’s not just about getting a license in Europe.

As noted by many brokers, the Maltese regulator has become extremely unfriendly to brokers, in connection with which many leave Malta and prefer friendlier markets.
